Lilly Wehman is a Chicago native and Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s from the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice. A former Division I athlete at Georgetown University, she studied psychology and journalism which are experiences that continue to shape her work today.

Rooted in growth, Lilly Wehman Counseling is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we slow down enough to understand ourselves. Lilly creates a compassionate, steady space where clients can reflect, reconnect, and grow in a way that feels sustainable.

Her work honors both performance and personhood, supporting those navigating anxiety, perfectionism, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and transitions in and out of sport. She works especially with athletes and high-achieving individuals, helping them build a more balanced and supportive relationship with themselves. Therapy is not about fixing—it’s about understanding, clarity, and lasting growth.

Working with Lilly feels warm, collaborative, and grounded—a soft place to land. It’s a space to set down pressure, process what feels heavy, and reconnect with your own voice without judgment.

Outside of the office, Lilly enjoys training for triathlons, spending time on the lake, exploring new restaurants, and being with friends and family.

Owner & Therapist

Modalities & Framework

Lilly’s approach is integrative and tailored to each client, drawing from:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Relational and psychodynamic therapy

  • Narrative therapy

  • Motivational interviewing

  • Strengths-based perspective

  • Culturally attuned, trauma-informed care

At its core, this work is about creating space for honesty, reflection, and growth. Lilly believes therapy should feel like a soft landing place, somewhere you can take off the pressure, put words to what feels heavy, and slowly reconnect with your own voice.
