Individual Counseling
At Lilly Wehman Counseling, individual therapy is not about being “fixed.” It’s about being met—fully, honestly, and without judgment. Together, we explore what’s been feeling heavy, stuck, confusing, or overwhelming, and begin to gently untangle it in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
We offer online therapy sessions for individuals throughout Illinois. Each 55-minute session is a space to slow down, exhale, and begin to untangle what you’ve been carrying. Together, we’ll explore what feels heavy, overwhelming, or stuck, while also creating space for reflection, clarity, and a deeper understanding of yourself. Individual therapy is about reconnecting with your voice, building awareness, and supporting you as a whole person.
I am considered an out-of-network provider, which means you would pay for sessions directly, and I will provide a “Superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage you to check in with your insurance provider to understand what your specific plan may cover.
What individual therapy can help with:
Life Transitions & Adjustments (career changes, graduation, relocation, relationship shifts)
Trauma & Past Experiences (processing past experiences, understanding old patterns, emotional safety and integration)
Anxiety & Overwhelm (chronic worry, stress, racing thoughts, tension)
Depression & Low Mood (lack of motivation, disconnection, fatigue, numbness)
Perfectionism & Control (self-criticism, high expectations, fear of failure, difficulty resting without guilt)
Emotional Regulation & Coping (expressing or identifying emotions, learning coping strategies under stress)
Self-growth & Values-based Living (curiosity, intentional living, and fulfillment)
Relationships & Boundaries (friendships, dating, marriage or family conflict, attachment patterns, abandonment, trust)
Grief & Loss (navigating loss of a person, relationship, or version of life)
A Soft Landing
At its core, individual therapy is a return to your voice, your needs, and your sense of self beneath the pressure, expectations, and noise. You don’t have to carry it all alone.
Individual therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Some sessions may feel reflective and insight-oriented, while others may be focused on grounding, coping tools, or simply having space to say things out loud that haven’t been said elsewhere.
